Long Beach City College Hosts February 2024 Matches

Several beach volleyball matches took place in Late February 2024, at Long Beach City College. This is one of the nicest sand courts that we have had the opportunity of visiting to watch beach volleyball. In the 2023 season we were there for the Long Beach State Invitational, catching Texas in their inaugural beach volleyball season. Other programs, Utah and Stetson were also in town for that weekend competition.

At the 3C2A level, Long Beach City had a very good 2023 season, and already looks poised for an even better 2024.

Highlights from LBCC hosting Miramar College (San Diego) & Ventura College above –

Hosting Miramar (San Diego) and Ventura College on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 LBCC came away with a split. All 3 teams split on this day, including Ventura losing 5-0 to the hosting LBCC squad. Miramar also looked impressive, as they would defeat LBCC 3-2, while putting up a fight against Ventura losing to the Pirates 2-3.

Also in February on the 23rd f 2024, Long Beach City would face Moorpark and Bakersfield.

In a ‘Quad’ (where 4 teams are participating; but 2 visiting/hosting teams not playing each other) – Cerritos College joined in. Got a chance to see them earlier in February, at Goldenwest. They looked very impressive on the day, defeating Goldenwest, but falling to Ventura 4-1. You can see photos from that day of competition in our new ‘All Galleries’ section of our website.

Photos from Ventura at Goldenwest, and visiting LBCC are on the way! A few previews can be seen over on our Instagram & Facebook
