This is part 1 of the duels between Ventura College and Westcliff University. Ventura College has had a pretty good 2023 beach volleyball season, as of this publishing. They are currently 12-1 on the season, with their only loss, coming back in February. We were there – part 1 below features the opening matches.Â

Westcliff University is also having a very good season.
They’re currently sitting at 12-3. On this day, February 16th, 2023, Westcliff would defeat both Ventura College and the hosting Goldenwest College (in Huntington Beach). From the NAIA, they’re a very competitive division, operating as an alternative to the NCAA. So Ventura may have gotten quite a boost of momentum, knowing they competed so well with a team from what many would consider to be a much better division.
