A really good one from Manhattan Beach, CA for the AVP MBO 2023. In the contenders bracket, this was an elimination match between two competitive teams. Megan J. Rice teamed up with Brooke Bauer and would have quite the day, here on Saturday August 19, 2023. We were there for this match, that went 3 sets.
This match almost ended early in the 3rd set at 16-14, Urango/Pavan. Instead, the point went to Rice /Bauer (tying it at 15 all) and they would eventually come away with the win!Â

So Cal had a ‘hurricane’ that turned into a ‘tropical storm’. As a result we did not make it out to the MBO on Sunday. There were some great photos from the day from several other photographers. I think the AVP did a great job with everything, as no one anticipated a historic weather event the same weekend!
