What a year of beach volleyball here in Southern California. We’ll be wrapping up our coverage and also updating the site during this off season. With the After Thanksgiving Tournament in Santa Monica, the CBVA season came to a close. We were there for the Women’s B, and Women’s AA tournaments that happened on Sunday.
Below are a few images from the afternoon Pool Play, of the Women’s AA
Thankfully, our weather was decent through the end of fall ball. Unusually sunny and warm at times, for this late in the year, but it made for some great beach volleyball conditions!! If you’re an athlete who is looking for photos of yourself, and cannot find them, feel free to reach out through our Instagram.
Speaking of ‘fall ball’, the NCAA completed another successful pre-season throughout the nation, especially here in So Cal.
We were able to get a sneak peak at some of the new talent, and returning players for many of the top beach programs in the nation.
Here are a few images from Relentless 2024, aka the Surf City Pairs Championships.
Fall ball is over, the pairs that qualified in Huntington Beach, and Manhattan Beach before that, went to Alabama and competed. Looking back on 2024, we were able to cover the last season of April Ross. We got a chance to see Olympians Sarah Hughes, Kelly Cheng, and more compete in AVP!  We captured the inaugural season of a new beach volleyball program Cuesta College, at the 3C2A level.
Several athletes from the community college level end up transferring to NCAA/NAIA levels. Thankful to photograph some of their special moments along the journey –
SocalBeachVB.com was in attendance for the first Hermosa Beach Open, which will continue to get bigger going forward.
Stay tuned to our site, as more updates and recaps from 2024 are on the way.
