April 21, 2025
Some time ago, over on Instagram in our ‘stories’ I shared that there will be some posting delays for the 2025 season. This page is not ‘visible’ to the public, but I wanted to address this once, in a place that does not ‘expire’ as Instagram stories do. I’m not big on sharing personal details about my life, however since many athletes are waiting to see photos, I wanted to make sure to let you all know what I can, at this time.
My fathers health is not good. Â
About 4 years ago he was diagnosed with onset Parkinson’s, and sundowners. He’s had heart and kidney challenges for several years, but last year he also came down with Congestive heart failure. Sadly, my father’s health is not improving, and as a family we are now preparing for what comes next.
This means that, I’ll be shooting a lot less this year; If I’m able to cover an event at all, it may not be the full event.
The time needed to go through the photos to see what’s usable is also and will be greatly reduced as most of my time and attention, will be with my father and supporting my mother. I do have siblings who I hope can help out as well, but I am preparing to do the bulk of what is needed, just in case.
With that, again, I do ask for your patience during this time.
If you see me at an event, I may or may not have a few moments where I’ll just start crying out of no where. I’m ok .. just experiencing a part of life that all of us, eventually have to experience. I’m thankful that I have the opportunity to give back, and help those who have helped me throughout my life.
My parents mean the world to me – so needless to say this has not been easy for me.
However, I will still be posting updates here on the site.
I’ll try to get previews up on the Instagram/Facebook.
The updates may be a little sporadic, and there are still a lot of previous galleries that I never got a chance to post. As this is not a new challenge, it’s just starting to require even more of my time than before. Over the last 2 years, there have been several trips to the hospital, lots of Doctors appointments, physical and speech therapy appointments. My parents have done so much for me, It’s nothing for me to do as much as I can for them.
Thinking of the words from the coach of the Boston Celtics, Joe Mazzulla – replacing words like ‘I have to’ with “I Get to” … while it hurts, I’m still glad I’m able.

Thank you to the beach volleyball community for all of your support. I appreciate all of the positive feedback on the photos, and videos too. Always working on improving at everything, and I do hope I am getting better at capturing moments on the sand, with each outing. Thank you to all who have reached out with prayers, all who have inquired about my family – still remaining positive and hoping for miracles.Â
But, I just wanted to make sure all the amazing athletes waiting to see images of themselves in action, know what is going on.
Can’t wait to deliver this content, as soon as I can.
